The NIS-TR-LS-EU LoRa™/Sigfox WAN device is dedicated to accurate temperature measurement from PT100 or PT1000 to RTD industrial probes (-50°C to +200°C by default).
This resistance temperature sensor returns high accuracy and low drift temperature levels via LoRa or SigFox networks. It is suitable for temperature precision applications. This device is provided with external RTD / PT100 (4wires / 1.5m cable) probe.
The embedded software implements both a periodic transmission mode and an alarm transmission mode on detection of temperature threshold levels. It also includes a low battery alarm and an optional data buffering mechanism to reduce overall power consumption and extend device life.
This device was developed to be natively waterproof. An internal antenna has been designed to achieve best-in-class performance. A magnetic switch mechanism with feedback LED is used to easily control the device (Switch ON/OFF, test mode).
In order to meet all applications, this product is highly configurable (measurement period, thresholds, etc.) from the network and through a WAN downlink frame. As an option, it can also be configured locally via a JAVA application running on a computer and a wireless wireless radio interface without internal access.
This device is powered by an interchangeable 2400mAh Lithium primary battery giving several years of autonomy for a standard use case of one measurment per hour (a life time calculator is given on the NEMEUS wiki page to evaluate autonomy for a specific use case).
As an option, this device can be powered by an external power supply from 5V to 30V (useful in LoRa WAN Class C mode). This device can also be supplied with an external SMA connector if a harsh environment (such as a metal box) requires an output antenna.
