The PCIe M.2+ adapter is designed to connect peripherals such as NVMe SSDs in M.2 2230 and M.2 2242 format directly to the Raspberry Pi 5 to increase its storage capacity. 4 Gbit/s PCIe 2.0 interface for fast data transfer (up to 500 MB/s).
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ M Key allows you to connect M.2 2230 and M.2 2242 format peripherals such as NVMe SSD hard drives and other PCIe accessories to the Raspberry Pi 5 using FPC cabling. The hard drives enable the Raspberry Pi 5 to increase its speed and storage capacity, guaranteeing optimum performance.
The 4 Gb/s PCIe 2.0 interface enables fast data transfer (~500 MB/s) to and from NVMe disks and other PCIe devices. The M.2 HAT+ adapter can supply up to 3A of power to connected M.2 accessories.
The M.2 HAT+ is automatically detected by the Raspberry Pi OS software thanks to its compliance with the HAT+ specification. Its optimized design provides sufficient space for it to be installed on the Raspberry Pi 5 with the heatsink in place. The PCIe to M.2+ adapter integrates easily with the Raspberry Pi 5 using the FPC cable supplied.
