The Raspberry Compute Module (Version 3) Lite of Raspberry Pi is a version of the Raspberry Pi that is limited to processor and RAM, all integrated on a module SoMs (System on Modules), mechanically compatible with DDR2-SODIMM ports, very popular in the industry. |
The Compute Module 3 (CM3L) takes the components of the Raspberry Pi 3 (except the WiFi function) and integrates them on a small card in SO-DIMM format, in order to offer a very good quality-price ratio.
These modules are suitable for designers who are looking for the Raspberry Pi 3 features but need a smaller form factor (67.6 x 31 mm) for their built-in designs. They provide flexibility and scalability for the development of professional applications.
The Raspberry Compute Module (Version 3) Lite is a SoM (System on Module) containing a 1.2MHz processor BCM2837 SoC (System on Chip) with 1 GB of LPDDR2 RAM. Also equipped with additional input / output (I / O) interfaces.
The CM3L version is equipped with a 4GB Flash eMMC, unlike the CM3 version that does not, leaving the choice of storage to the most demanding.
In order to function properly this module must be plugged into a card of your design or, to start your development on a Compute Module I / O Board V3 (CMIO3) card available here.
